If you would rather not hold a key yourself, there is Lyt Plus: the coaching runs on Lyt's own engine, no key to create. This guide is for you if you prefer full control with your own.

How to do it (Anthropic, recommended)

  1. Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account with email or a Google login.
  2. Under Billing, add a card and buy credits. $5 is enough to get started. The coaching typically costs a few cents per meeting.
  3. Go to API KeysCreate Key. Name it "Lyt", for example, and copy the key (it starts with sk-ant-). It is shown only once.
  4. Open Lyt → Settings → ENGINE and paste the key. Done. Record your first meeting.

One piece of advice

Set a monthly spend limit in the Anthropic console (under Billing → Limits). Then you know up front what the AI can cost you at most, no matter how many meetings you record.

Did your company give you a key?

Then you can skip all of this: paste the key you were given under Settings → ENGINE and you are up and running. That is how the company agreement works: one key from your own AI workspace, full control on your side.

Do you use OpenAI or Azure?

Lyt also works with an OpenAI key (platform.openai.com, same procedure) and with Azure OpenAI, where all AI processing stays inside your own tenant. Pick your provider under Settings → ENGINE.

Why not just an account with Lyt?

Because it would mean your meetings ran on my bill and my customer relationship with the AI provider. With your own key the chain is as short as possible: your device, your key, your agreement. That is also why Lyt has neither a login nor a cloud archive. Read more at /en/lyt/privatliv. If you get stuck along the way, write to mail@martinibsen.dk.
