All AI-built sites look alike. Purple gradient. Rounded corners.
They don’t have to.
Cursor, Claude Code and Lovable can do something few people take advantage of: they can look at an existing site and copy the style. You just say: “I want a site that looks like this.” Then it analyzes the typography, the colors, the spacing, and lifts your own design to the same level.
🎯 How to do it
Find a site you love. Give the AI the URL or a screenshot. Write: “Analyze the design of this site: typography, color palette, spacing and component style, and apply the same design language to my project.”
It works for prototypes in discovery. For the internal dashboard. For the demo you’re showing leadership on Thursday. A prototype that looks polished gets taken seriously. A prototype with a purple gradient gets sent back for another round.
💡 Four places to steal from, plus one I built myself
Aceternity UI, Ready-made components with effects that are actually good-looking.
Refero Styles, Design styles from real products, sorted and searchable.
Mobbin, Thousands of screenshots from the best apps. Discovery for design language.
Godly, The most beautiful sites on the web, collected in one place.
Wardrobe UI, My own contribution. Complete design systems you can hand directly to your AI.
👉 Try it on your next project
Pick one site from the list, point your AI at it, and see what happens. It takes ten minutes, and the difference is easy to spot.
The internet gets prettier for it. ;-)
Best, Martin
